The Bartender will provide exceptional customer service, mix and serve drinks to patrons of the lounge, directly or through the wait staff. Bartenders must work well with all staff to ensure that customers receive prompt service. The general responsibilities of the position include (Sodexo may identify other responsibilities of the position).

General Responsibilities:

• Greet guests, mix and serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks, and create drink recipes with appropriate garnishes.
• Check customers ID to verify age requirements for purchase and consumption of alcohol.
• Able take beverage orders from Lounge patrons or serving staff.
• Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
• Arrange bar/cart supplies and glass ware to make attractive displays.
• Clean glass ware, utensils, and bar equipment; clean bar/work areas and tables.
• Record all sales, collect money, operate a cash/credit card/electronic payment register, and follow all cash-handling procedures as required.
• May stock the bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, or straws.
• Attend all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training.
• The ability to work a flexible schedule is helpful.
• Must comply with uniform/ dress code requirements.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Requirements:  

• Bartender license.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift 35lb to 40lbs.
