The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Washington is seeking to hire a full-time faculty member at the Associate Professor without Tenure due to funding (WOT) level to join the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI). As a member of an academic division at the UWMC, there are ample opportunities to train and mentor learners, to lead intellectually rich discussions related to the improvement of patient care outcomes, and to initiate and participate in high quality clinical, translational, and educational research.

Associate and Professors WOT hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. This position has an anticipated start date of February 1, 2024.

The base salary range for this position will be: $35,000 - $41,667 per month ($420,000 - $500,004 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.

About the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology:

The successful candidate will be a key team member of the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility clinical practice located in the Women's Health Care Center at the University of Washington and will be focused primarily on clinical care. Our team is currently composed of three physicians, two advanced practice providers, three embryologists (plus an incoming junior embryologist and an off-site lab director), and a team of nurses and medical assistants. We provide comprehensive REI-related services to the Seattle community as well as the Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho (WAMI) region which include treatment of a full spectrum of reproductive endocrinopathies, oncofertility (including ovarian tissue cryopreservation), gamete preservation, same sex procreative management, pre-diagnostic/genetic diagnosis, ART, intrauterine insemination, menopause, and other standard reproductive health care-related services.

The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the intellectual diversity and legacy of teaching, clinical and research excellence of the UWMC through their professional passions. There is a particular need for a liaison to the undergraduate (medical student) and graduate (resident) medical education leadership within the department. The Division has recently re-launched a REI fellowship program, and the successful applicant will also be expected to participate in the education and mentorship of REI fellows. Qualifications

Applicants should be board-certified in both (1) Obstetrics and Gynecology and (2) Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Candidates must have an MD or DO degree, or foreign equivalent, completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, or foreign equivalent, and a Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, or foreign equivalent. Applicants must also be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Washington. Applicants must show at least 5 years experience in growing a practice and have surgical and clinical expertise in assisted reproductive technologies, hysteroscopy, laparoscopy and/or other activities that typically define a busy academic REI division.

In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
