LaSalle Network is partnered with a leading, fast-moving creative agency in seeking a
Creative Director with a deep expertise in copywriting and storytelling to lead concept development and campaign execution across high-profile clients and new business. This Creative Director role is a highly strategic role for a seasoned creative leader who thrives on developing big ideas, shaping brand narratives, and bringing campaigns to life across digital, print, broadcast, and experiential.
This
Creative Director is a hybrid role based in Chicago and requires onsite presence two days per week.
Creative Director Responsibilities: - Lead the copy side of integrated creative campaigns across major clients in tech, finance, and CPG
- Partner closely with art directors, designers, motion creatives, and experience designers to deliver cohesive, concept-driven work
- Oversee creative development from concept to execution, ensuring storytelling is strong, strategic, and aligned to client goals
- Collaborate with strategy and account teams to shape briefs and creative direction
- Pitch new business and develop compelling presentations that bring ideas to life and win buy-in
- Mentor and guide a team of associate creative directors, copywriters, and other creatives
- Work directly with clients, confidently presenting ideas and providing strategic direction
- Contribute to and shape award-winning campaigns that break through the noise and connect with audiences
- Lead and influence across a blended team structure (copy, art, motion, XD, and strategy)
Creative Director Requirements: - A conceptual thinker with 10+ years of experience in creative roles, ideally within top-tier marketing or advertising agencies
- Proven leadership on large-scale, multi-channel campaigns, including work in tech, finance, entertainment, or consumer products
- Comfortable guiding teams through ambiguous creative challenges—able to identify great work and help get weaker concepts to the finish line
- Skilled at presenting to clients and collaborating with cross-functional partners across strategy, design, and account management
- Experience with partnership activations, promotions, and brand storytelling across formats—TV spots, digital banners, app copy, social posts, experiential, and more
- Comfortable owning a brief, driving creative development, and ensuring the final product delivers both creatively and strategically
- Strong portfolio showcasing award-winning, consumer-driven creative that makes an impact (Cleos, Webbies, Shortys, W3s, Digidays, etc.)
- Not just a writer, but a storyteller and brand builder with a strategic mindset
