Position Overview : VitalCheck Wellness invites applications for a seasoned Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist to elevate our global wellness initiatives and implement existing Health, Safety and Environment protocols. This role is integral to our partnership with a prestigious asset management firm headquartered in New York City. The successful candidate will be instrumental in fostering a culture of health and safety within a dynamic corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ergonomics Program Leadership: Spearhead the continued development and oversight of a comprehensive global ergonomics initiative. Provide expert guidance on ergonomic adjustments, postural corrections, and equipment implementation to alleviate musculoskeletal discomfort among employees.
  • Health & Safety Strategy: Execute robust Health, Safety and Environment protocols applicable across the firm's international locations at their headquarters office in Manhattan, NY.
  • Risk Management: Perform meticulous Job Hazard Analyses, assessing tasks and introducing new equipment or processes while mitigating potential safety hazards.
  • Wellness Advocacy: Empower and educate employees on the benefits available to them that contribute to their holistic well-being.
  • Safety Compliance: Engage in rigorous internal safety audits and inspections, ensuring swift implementation of remedial measures to resolve audit discrepancies and uphold stringent safety benchmarks.

Qualifications

  • Educational Attainment: A Master's Degree or higher from a Physical Therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from a program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
  • Licensure: Valid New York State Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist License.
  • Professional Experience: A minimum of five years' practice as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist, with a preference for candidates possessing corporate wellness experience.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Proficiency in workplace ergonomics, public health, and occupational health and safety and assistive technology.
  • Technical Proficiency: Competence with digital tools, including Microsoft Office suite and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Autonomy: Capacity to operate independently, exhibiting initiative and minimal need for direct supervision.
  • Location: Reliable ability to commute to our New York City office.
