Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Leasing Consultant for our Tuscany-inspired community nestled in the vibrant heart of Northridge, Los Angeles. Our 86-unit community offers a warm and inviting atmosphere and features a range of modern amenities, including a swimming pool and fitness center. The ideal candidate will be friendly and energetic, with a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional customer service. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our leasing activities and maintaining high levels of resident satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leasing and Sales: Show available units, conduct open houses, and assist with leasing activities. Prepare and execute leases and handle rent collection.
• Marketing and Outreach: Conduct regular outreach marketing activities to attract prospective residents. Advertise vacancies and conduct market surveys as needed.
• Customer Service: Respond to telephone calls and in-person visits from prospects and residents. Address and report resident requests, concerns, and comments to appropriate departments.
• Property Management Support: Provide coverage during management staff absences and assist with overall property management tasks. Assist in rent collection and managing outstanding dues and paperwork.
• Property Maintenance Coordination: Monitor outstanding work orders and maintain constant communication with maintenance staff. Ensure the property is well-maintained and visually appealing. Stay fully informed of current rental rates, floorplans, locations, and all amenities of the property.
• Resident Relations: Develop and maintain strong customer service relationships with prospects and residents. Report any unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of one year in customer service or sales experience. Experience with serving notices, eviction processes, and rent collection is preferred but not required.
• Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Craigslist ads. Familiarity with Yardi is a plus.
• Professionalism: Must demonstrate a professional appearance and a positive attitude. Strong leadership skills and a sense of humor are highly valued.
• Legal Knowledge: Understanding of Fair Housing Laws is preferred but not required.
• Availability: Must be available to work on weekends.
• Transportation: Must have a reliable means of transportation.
• Credit History: Excellent credit history is required.
Compensation and Benefits:
• Hourly Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour based on experience
