Job Description

Materials Engineer Location Milwaukee, WI (Historic Third Ward area) :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Materials Engineer to join our team. As a Materials Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the research, development, and implementation of materials for our products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and performance of materials meet our standards.

Duties - Conduct research on different materials and their properties- Develop and test new materials for use in our products- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to select appropriate materials for specific applications- Utilize mechanical knowledge to analyze material performance and make recommendations for improvements- Fabricate prototypes and conduct testing to evaluate material performance under various conditions- Provide technical support to production teams regarding material selection, processing, and troubleshooting- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality materials- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in materials engineering

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field- Proven experience in materials engineering, metallurgical, heat treat, or a related role- Experience in data collection and analysis for quality control purposes product test and certification and handle any type of customer field customer questions- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
