Job Overview: As a Finance Associate, you will play a key role in the company's growth strategy by supporting the identification, evaluation, negotiation, and execution of mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships. You will report to the Head of M&A and cross-functional stakeholders to drive successful transactions that align with strategic objectives and contribute to overall growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deal Sourcing and Evaluation:
    • Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets, joint venture opportunities, and strategic partnerships in alignment with growth strategy.
    • Conduct comprehensive market research, financial analysis, and due diligence to assess strategic fit, financial viability, and risks associated with potential transactions.
    • Prepare investment memos, business cases, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  2. Transaction Execution:
    • Support all aspects of transaction execution, including deal structuring, negotiation, financial modeling, and legal documentation.
    • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., legal, finance, operations) and external advisors (e.g., investment banks, legal counsel) to ensure timely and successful deal closure.
    • Assist in the preparation of board materials, regulatory filings, and other documentation required for transaction approval and closing.
  3. Post-Acquisition Integration:
    • Support integration planning and execution efforts for acquired assets or businesses, working closely with functional leaders to drive operational and financial synergies.
    • Monitor and track performance against integration milestones, identifying and addressing any issues or challenges that arise.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of post-acquisition growth initiatives to maximize the value of acquired assets or businesses.
Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Cross-Functional Support:
    • Provide support for financial planning and analysis (FP&A), financial reporting, and portfolio management activities as needed.
    • Contribute to portfolio management efforts by monitoring and analyzing the performance of existing assets, identifying opportunities for optimization or value creation, and supporting strategic decision-making related to asset management.
Note: In a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment, the M&A Associate may be required to take on additional responsibilities beyond traditional M&A functions. This may involve contributing to various finance and portfolio management activities to support the overall success of the organization.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or a related field, with a focus on M&A transactions.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and analyses to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
