SolarEdge Technologies Energy Storage division is looking to recruit a presales engineer. As a presales engineer the candidate will be actively participating in qualifying bidding and winning tenders. The candidate will be required to perform market analysis feasibility studies risk analysis EOI/RFI/RFQ/RFP reviews prepare technical proposals define project schedule attend and/or present in pretender meetings and deliver technical trainings to customers.

The ideal candidate has solid handson experience leading and managing presales activities for stationary energy storage and/or infrastructure projects; demonstrates initiative clearheaded problem solving and mastery of the tactical details for each project.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will work closely with Sales Product Management Product Marketing Q&R and R&D. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to;
  • Identifying gathering and developing market trend data and potential business opportunities.
  • Review customer RFI/RFPs conduct feasibility studies and risk analysis and determine compliance to technical requirements.
  • Plan develop and manage technical proposals and/or reports based on customer RFI/RFPs.
  • Prepare responses to all technical queries in the bidding stage.
  • Attend on/offline technical and/or pretender meetings to provide technical support.
  • Monitor progress and performance of presales activities taking actions to optimize the quality of technical support.
  • Identify ways to develop and improve internal processes to reduce turn around times and minimize delays.
  • Maintain standard and nonstandard internal/external technical documents. (Technical proposals study reports project document deliverables all technical materials etc.)
  • Provide technical support to project managers when carrying out complex projects. Localy support project management activities as needed.

Requirements :

  • BS in engineering and 4 years of presales or project management experience. Prior work in small medium scale stationary energy storage industry (C&I and Utility sector) as a sales engineer is desirable.
  • Proven experience managing all aspects of RFI/RFPs including but not limited to system design standards compliance etc.
  • Multitasking capability to manage numerous tasks in parallel.
  • In depth knowledge of battery system design system integration power integration and utility design process.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Cognizant of cost schedule implications and able to make recommendations which benefit the bottom line.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
