A manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Assembly Technician to build, troubleshoot, repair, and test packaging machinery. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Responsibilities:
Assemble control panels by installing PLCs, terminals, relays, timers, breakers, wiring, and mounts according to blueprint specifications
Perform the most complex assembly assignments utilizing hand and power tools
Connect functional wiring and circuitry between controls, sensors, equipment, and power sources
Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics to determine assembly requirements
Perform final testing of equipment ensuring proper operation, troubleshoot faults, and complete repairs
Provide first line technical support throughout assembly operation to define and solve manufacturing/process issues
Check parts inventory to ensure the right materials are on hand to meet the assembly plan
Assign work to all cell associates and plan workflow according to individual capabilities and the schedule
Monitor all work-in-progress and spot-check completed jobs to ensure that specifications and project completion date are met
Ensure that production team is aware of day-to-day production output expectations and manage work order closures and inventory control transactions
Train and cross training all other associates and fill in at any assembly position within the team when needed
High energy with a sense of urgency in responding to the needs of the business is needed, as well as, good housekeeping and safety habits
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must have a High School Diploma or GED and some college or advanced degree is preferred
Must have at least 2 years experience meeting the expectations of Senior Assembly Technician and/or has demonstrated a level of performance and leadership to qualify for the position
Must have strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with focus on safety, quality and efficiency
Knowledge of electrical systems and components is a plus
Must have the ability to troubleshoot, follow blueprints, and use basic hand and power tools
Must have a high energy with a sense of urgency in responding to the needs of the business
Must be able to complete assembly schedule on time, while prioritizing duties, with an eye for detail
Must have a high level of personal and professional integrity while working in a team environment
Must have the have ability to learn and drive for self-improvement and leadership
Must have a strong work history with no attendance issues
